Rupi (Silver, 23 mm, 11.59 g, 12 h), type D1, Tabriz, AH 1154 = AD 1741/2. ‘hast soltān bar salātin-e jahān shāh-e shāhān Nāder-e sāhebqerān’ (‘Sultan over the sultans of the world, King of Kings, Nadir, lord of the auspicious conjunction [of planets]’ in Persian). Rev. Within a circle, ‘zarb-e dār al-salṭana Tabriz 1154’ (‘Struck in the Abode of the Sultanate Tabriz, 1154’ in Persian)’. Album 2744.1. Nicely toned. Scratches, otherwise, very fine.
